About us
Edina Communications is a tactical, data-driven political communications consultancy working with parties, campaigns and organisations across the United Kingdom and Europe. Our work ranges from campaign strategy and management to the technical delivery that campaigns often lack, including audience targeting, data and CRM, personalised messaging, and digital campaigning.
The role
This is a junior post in a small consultancy, reporting directly to the Director. The successful candidate will work across the full range of our activity, from strategy and campaign management to delivery, on national, European and local campaigns. Successful candidates will also expect to work on pipeline development.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the development of campaign strategy and the management of client campaigns.
- Helping clients to design, set up and run their campaigns.
- Drafting and designing campaign materials, and operating the technology and data systems behind them.
- Managing projects day to day and ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Identifying and approaching prospective clients, particularly smaller and local organisations.
- Onboarding new clients and running their accounts.
- Preparing client reports and pitch material, and representing Edina at meetings and events.
Requirements
Essential
- Practical campaign experience beyond leafleting and canvassing. Voluntary experience is acceptable, but policy experience alone is not.
- A sound understanding of British and European politics.
- A willingness to work beyond your comfort zone and to take on unfamiliar work at short notice.
- The ability to work effectively with people under pressure.
- A working understanding of AI tools and their use in campaigns.
- Confidence with data and a willingness to learn new technical systems.
- The right to work in the UK and the ability to work abroad for extended periods.
Experience of graphic design, photography and video, website design in HTML, or NationBuilder would be an advantage.
Terms
The post carries the statutory minimum of 28 days' annual leave, inclusive of public holidays, and a workplace pension in line with the statutory auto-enrolment minimum. Working is hybrid, with regular attendance in London required. Hours are irregular and include evenings and weekends during live campaigns. Travel and accommodation costs on client business are met in full.
How to apply
Please send a CV of no more than two pages and a one-page covering letter, with "Account Executive" in the subject line. Your letter should describe the campaigns you have worked on and assess what one of them got right and wrong.
Interviews will be held in London from Wednesday 8 October 2026, and we may appoint before the closing date. Please tell us if you need any adjustment to the process. Applicant data will be deleted within six months of the process closing.
